The Pakistani foreign ministry has lodged a protest with the United States through its embassy in Washington. US troops form the bulk of the international forces.
Authorities in northwestern Pakistan say roads in the region have been closed to vehicles delivering fuel and other goods to the international forces in Afghanistan from Pakistan, in apparent retaliation for the raid.
In September last year, a US helicopter crossed the Afghan border into Pakistan and opened fire, killing 3 Pakistani troops.
Then, a key border crossing used by vehicles delivering goods to the international forces in Afghanistan temporarily closed.
